Last year, we started up a Facebook page and ran a competition called My Backyard Rules. It ran for 3 months and the winner scored an Apollo Patios patio to the value of $10,000.
After reading many, many stories, it was hard to pick. Our winner’s name is Vanessa and here is a little snippet of her story.
Did you ever expect to win something of this size and value in your life?
No, never. I was shocked when I received the phone call to say I’d won such a big prize.
What made you want to enter the competition in the first place?
I’m usually very lazy in entering these types of competitions but my partner insisted I enter so I sat down in front of my computer and entered through the Apollo Patios Facebook page.
How did you find out about the Apollo Patios competition and Facebook page?
Through the Facebook advertising and internet.
Now that you’re enjoying your new patio, how much better has your lifestyle become?
So much better. I can now enjoy the outdoors more because the patio is light, airy and usable. Normally I don’t go outside but the patio makes my outdoor area so much cooler, breezy and shaded. I find myself outside quite often. Also my grandson has a big area to play in the shade now, I don’t have to worry about him being outside in the summer months.
How do you find the quality and look of your Apollo Patio?
First class! Without a doubt. I love the louvres and how classy the patio looks. It’s so easy to clean too, with the gloss finish the build up comes off with ease with a simple hose down.
Would you recommend Apollo Patios to people you know looking for a patio, carport, deck, enclosure or accessories?
I would. The quality is excellent. The team at Apollo are efficient and professional. The patio is a simple but clean look. It really is first class. The installers did a great job, there was no mess left. I didn’t even know they had been there except I had a new patio built in no time!
For those people who are unaware of your story and entry in the competition, it was an inspiration to us. Taking 2 years out of your own life to help care for your terminally ill grandchild is such a gracious gift and on behalf of the Apollo Patios team, we hope you can enjoy your new patio in memory of him.
It was an extremely hard time for us all. I did all I could by taking 2.5 years off work unpaid to care for Kai as he had terminal cancer. The whole time I wished I had somewhere, like the area the Apollo Patio has created, for him to enjoy the outdoors while he could. At least his little brother can enjoy this wonderful addition to our home. I can’t thank Apollo Patios enough, it really has given me a better lifestyle.
