Senior Business Development Manager

Apollo Patios, a market leader in roofing and patio construction, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a key position that will play a crucial role in the servicing our Dealers and Commercial Customers.

The Senior Business Development Manager is required to create and apply an effective sales strategy to drive sustainable financial growth for Apollo. This can be achieved through ensuring Apollo’s products are positioned effectively in the market, developing strategic partnerships, expanding the customer base, and forging strong relationships with current and prospective B2B customers.

Salary range: $100 – $120k + Super + Fully maintained company vehicle

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up on opportunities, and customer enquiries.
  • Negotiate and close deals with key customers and partners to secure new business and ensure contracts are in line with agreed profit margins and budget expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and understand their needs to ensure high customer satisfaction and long lasting and sustainable partnerships.
  • Proactively set sales goals, create action plans, and regularly monitor progress ensuring strategies are aligned with our goals and objectives and achieve revenue targets.
  • Working with the warehouse and logistics teams, ensure efficient distribution and logistics operations to deliver products to customers on time and in good condition.
  • Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of Apollo’s products (old, current and new) and the ability to convey their features, benefits and value propositions effectively to customers.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential target markets, industries, customer segments, geographic regions and new product development.
  • Ensure all sales and business development activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, managing contracts and legal aspects of customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of proven experience in business development or sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing significant deals.
  • Strong knowledge of the patio wholesale industry and its market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability in strong stakeholder management, networking, contracting and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
