At Apollo Patios, our team of professional deck builders are known for providing premium decking options that suit a range of outdoor applications. Our decks are engineered with quality steel frames to ensure your build has superior integrity and requires minimal maintenance.
Our decks are made using:
- Aluminium posts OR Kwila hardwood posts
- Kwila decking boards with stainless steel screws
140 x 42 top rail balustrading with stainless steel wire
- Aluminium wood grain steps with galvanised stringers
- Steel beams, joists and bearers
We offer the choice of building using either Kwila hardwood or composite decking boards. Our Kwila hardwood timber deck gives your outdoor space a warm and natural feel but also maximises durability.
Composite decking is perfect for Sydney residents who prefer a more eco-friendly, made from waste wood fibre and recycled plastics, but still want to keep the modern aesthetic.
*Please note Composite decking is not an Apollo Patios product. It can be used on your deck, however Apollo Patios cannot offer any warranty.
Are you planning on tiling your deck? Then, we will add a fibre cement sheeting finish, which leaves your deck ready to tile.

- Design & quote: From there, your design consultant will design the deck that will best complement your home and lifestyle. Once you are satisfied with the plans for your new deck, they’ll write you up a free quote.
- Check measure: We always strive to provide our customers with high-quality decks, and in order to do this, we follow through with a check measure to ensure all the plans are accurate before we apply for council approval and begin manufacturing parts.
- Council application: Then we’ll submit an application to the Sydney local council to get any relevant approvals we need to break ground on your decking project.
- Manufacture & delivery: Once your application has been approved, our team at your local Sydney Apollo Patios will get started manufacturing the materials for your deck. Once everything is done, we’ll load it and deliver it to your location.
- Installation: Finally, our team of expert builders will get started on installing your deck.

In New South Wales, certain building projects, like decks, don’t require planning permission or building approval if they meet certain requirements. Our teams are very familiar with the requirements set by the local council, so we’ll submit your application and make sure everything is for it to be approved.
Our decks vary in price because they’re all custom designs, so we can’t give you an exact price. However, some factors influence the price of a deck, including its size, style, and the materials used to build it.
All our materials are designed and manufactured to last. That said, steel and composite decking require less maintenance than timber decking would. Timber decks decay over time, causing them to need to be sanded and re-painted or sealed after a few years.
Composite decking is designed with specific materials to ensure it lasts, making it less susceptible to the same downfalls of timber. Steel can rust if you’re close to the ocean, but wiping it down with fresh water regularly should help reduce this risk. Out of the three, composite decking needs the least maintenance.
